Plank Magazine Gets Ready for Summer

Any thoughts of a quiet summer here at Plank Magazine have been quickly dispelled by the arrival of Dancing on the Edge in just a few weeks. On the horizon we can see the Vancouver Fringe Festival and before that, a chance of Plank going remote in the wilds of Toronto. We’ll have more on all our Plank adventures as details are confirmed.

We have been overwhelmed by the messages of support we’ve received since we first appeared online four weeks ago. Has it really only been four weeks? We want to thank everyone who has taken the time to either write in or tell us personally how they appreciate what we’re trying to doing here at Plank Magazine.

All your comments and suggestions are being fed back into our small collective as we plan for the future. Perhaps the most common request is for either an RSS feed or a newsletter service and we will look into that.

We would also love your feedback on both the look and the content of Plank Magazine. Is the site easy to navigate and attractive to behold, or not? Should all the content be uploaded once a week on a set day or as its ready? Do you find the reviews too long, too short? Too serious, too silly? Too polite? Do you want more features, fewer features? More interviews? Are there issues about the Vancouver performing arts scene that you feel need to be written about and discussed? Let us know.

We’re serious when we say this is your space. Readers are starting to use the comments section, which is fantastic. Please let us know if you think we’ve got it wrong (or right), please feel free to review the reviewers.

We are also looking for contributors and reviewers. If you feel like you have something to say and looking for a place to say it then please let us know by using our online form here.
