Are you in Theatre? Are you disgruntled but still devoted? Then you need this

A few years ago, as part of their Assembly initiative, the PuSh Festival invited Phelim McDermott from London's Improbable Theatre to run the entire event following the rules of "Open Space Technology", something he'd done successfully in both the UK and elsewhere in the world. In short, Open Space empowers participants themselves to decide on the topics they wish to discuss rather than following a program set by the conference organizers. I loved it and remember at the time wishing that a wider representation from the theatre community had participated.

Ticketpalooza! Theatre! Surprises!

Our good friends at the Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance (GVPTA) have announced a fantastic, online initiative called Ticketpalooz. 40 "mystery" ticket packages, donated by over 45 theatre companies are now available for purchase at price points of $50 or $200. The value of these packages is at least the same as these amounts. All packages include tickets to theatre productions by GVPTA member companies, and many also include dinner or drinks at local area restaurants. $200 packages may also include additional theatre tickets, entrance to other cultural events, and/or hotel stays at some of the best hotels in town.
